Prep 3

Welcome to Prep 3 2009.
Prep 3 is a brand new class formed in week three of 2009. Prep 3 has two teachers and one teacher's aid. Mr. Gill starts the week with Mrs Massingham taking over on Wednesday. Our aid Mrs. Sharma is there Monday to Friday.
We are busy setting up our routines and learning the rules of the classroom and the school. We enjoy daily outdoor activities which include skipping, obstacle courses, sandpit play, and ball games. Our daily indoor play includes playdough, painting, construction, home corner, computers, blocks and collage.
This term we are doing a unit that looks at all things about me. We will be making pictures of ourselves and our families, baking ginger bread men, graphing hair and eye colour and looking at parts of our body.
We read many books daily. We do shared reading with a big book , quiet reading with our own books and we use our interactive white board to read PM readers.
We are learning our colours, 2D shapes and numbers to 10. We use our interactive whiteboard to count daily, to identify colours and shapes and to learn all things about numbers.
Our class has one hour of PE and one hour of drama each week as well as one hour in the computer lab and half an hour in the library.
