Administration of medication to pupils.

Workplace Health and Safety Regulations require that the following regulations are met before you send any medication to the office to be administered.

The child's medication, with the Pharmacist's written instructions on the container, must be handed in at the office.

No medication can be kept on the child. PLEASE ASK YOUR PHARMACIST FOR THIS INFORMATION WHEN THE MEDICATION IS ISSUED.

Non-prescribed medications such as analgesics, cough mixtures etc. will NOT be administered unless prescribed as above.

In view of the regulations, parents are requested to, wherever possible, administer medication before or after school rather than during school hours.

Schools are not permitted to administer unlabelled medication included paracetamol / ibuprofen.
